• These kits contain a variety of agents meant to cause death
• Some may be purchased over the "Dark web" with explicit use labeling
• Some "suicide kits" are assembled from products marketed for other, legitimate purposes

Known variants

• Asphyxiation
  • Asphyxia kits may contain plastic bags with tie collars and gas canisters
  • Canisters may contain inert gas to cause simple oxygen displacement asphyxia or a more metabolically or neuro/psychoactive gas such as nitrous oxide
• Toxic ingestion kits
  • Ingestion of sodium nitrite causes Sodium nitrite toxicity
