Background

Be careful not to apply pressure to eye

Diagnosis

  • Tear-shaped pupil
  • Extrusion of intraocular content

Treatment

  • Eye covering
  • Elevate head of bed
  • Prevent nausea/vomiting
  • Prophy abx
    • Ceftaz 1gm + Vanco 1 gm
    • PCN allergy: Cipro + vanc
  • Surgical emergency
