Harbor:Transfer to Comprehensive Stroke Center

Patient's that have a large vessel occlusion causing stroke symptoms

  • If Neuro consult thinks patient is having an acute LVO causing stroke symptoms, they will coordinate transfer to a Comprehensive Stroke Center for Neuro-Interventional Radiology
  • Neuro will contact Harbor IR for IA tPA or thrombectomy (p501-5423). If our IR does not have capacity, then Neuro resident will initiate transfer to Comprehensive Stroke Center. This is NOT a MAC transfer.
