Diagnosis

CRITERIA- 3 months of pain:

- relieved by defecation

- assoc with change of stool freq

- related to a change in stool consistency


AND 2-.or more sx for quarter of the days

-> 3 bm per day or < 3 bm per wk

- altered stool form

- altered stool passage

- passage of mucous

- bloating
