1. painless bleeding from fetal origin
2. mother's life not in danger
3. defect in placental formation
4. umbilical vessels travel through placental membranes unsupported by other placental tissue
5. also caused by extra lobe on placnta

Diagnosis

1. suspect of mother with min vag bleeding and no pain, no contractions, no mat symptoms but fetus with signficant distress

Treatment

c-section
