Background
- 70% success at <5min loss vitals of mother
- Continue CPR during C-section
- Correct maternal acidosis
Indications
- Fundus higher than umbilicus or >23 weeks
- Fetal heart tones present
- Loss of maternal vital signs
Procedure
- Full BSI
- Large vertical abdominal incision down to uterus
- Vertial placental incision
- Delivery infant from mother
- Have NICU team with warmer standing by
