TSICU:Order Sets

• From the Orders screen, type "SURG ICU Admit"

Commonly used subphases include:

• ICU Ventilator Management Subphase

• ICU Pain and Sedation Management Subphase
  • Assessment of pain should be guided by use of the Critical Care Pain Observation Tool

  • Sedation requirements should be guided by use of the Richmond Agitation and Sedation Scale
    • A score of -1 to 0 is ideal (depending on patient clinical circumstances)

• ICU Vasopressors Subphase
  • Ensure that hold parameters are placed in the order comments section for all vasoactive meds
  • MAP or SBP goals should be specified for patients receiving vasopressors
