Background
- 90% of injuries occur from penetrating injury
- Isolated ureter injury is rare
Diagnosis
- Absence of hematuria does NOT rule out ureteral injury
- If CT is nondiagnostic but high index of suspicion perform IV urography or retrograde pyelography
Management
- Surgery
