History

Emergency Medicine is a specialty practice that focuses on the treatment of acute and urgent medical conditions. Emergency practitioners treat the full spectrum of patients using skills ranging from those of a general practitioner to specialists.

The Section of Emergency Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, established in 2009, plays crucial roles in medical education and research.
