Evaluation
- Initial study should be esophagogram with water-soluble contrast
- If negative or ambiguous follow with barium contrast or flexible esophagoscopy
Management
- Volume resuscitation
- Broad-spectrum IV antibiotics
- Emergent surgical consultation
